A 91-year-old man has died after a road crash in Co Meath yesterday.

A 91-year-old man has died after a road crash in Co Meath yesterday.

He was the sole occupant in a car that collided with a truck on the R147 at Pace, Dunboyne at 12.55pm in the afternoon.

The man was brought to Connolly Hospital Blachardstown where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí had carried out a forensic examination of the scene and the road has since reopened.
