Three men are due before the Special Criminal Court in Dublin this morning in connection with alleged dissident republican activity in Cork.

Three men are due before the Special Criminal Court in Dublin this morning in connection with alleged dissident republican activity in Cork.

The men, aged from their mid-thirties to early fifties, were arrested on Thursday evening following the search of a premises at Cluain Ard in Cobh.

They were questioned at Cobh and Midleton Garda Stations.

Gardaí also seized two firearms and a quantity of ammunition during the raid.
