A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after he fall from rocks in Dublin earlier today.

A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after he fall from rocks in Dublin earlier today.

The incident happened in the Shankill area of south Dublin at around 5.45pm.

The Greystones Coastguard Unit and the Search and Rescue Helicopter from Dublin were involved in the operation.

The boy was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital where it is understood he is being treated for non life threatening injuries.
