A man who claimed to have Covid-19 is due to appear in court over allegations that he “purposely coughed” over police officers.

A man who claimed to have Covid-19 is due to appear in court over allegations that he “purposely coughed” over police officers.

The incident happened after the 39-year-old was arrested following a domestic incident at a house in north Belfast on Wednesday.

He will appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court, charged with common assault and two counts of attempting to commit grievous bodily harm.
