An 11-year-old boy has died in hospital today following a traffic collision in Navan, Co Meath on October 16.

An 11-year-old boy has died in hospital today following a traffic collision in Navan, Co Meath on October 16.

Gardaí at Navan Garda Station are investigating the collision which occurred at Abbeylands South, Navan, last Sunday at 9.50 a.m.

The boy was crossing the road when he was involved in a collision with a truck.

He was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital and transferred to Temple Street Hospital where he died this afternoon.

The driver of the truck, a man in his mid 30s, was uninjured.
