Minister to assess Ebola response in Sierra Leone

The Minister for Development, Trade, Promotion is travelling to Sierra Leone to assess the response to the Ebola outbreak

Seán Sherlock will meet with the President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma, and Government representatives to discuss their response to the crisis and the support being provided by the international community.

The Irish Government has provided more than €1m of funding to date.

Minister Sherlock will also meet with aid workers from Goal, Concern, the Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières along with staff from the United Nations and the World Health Organisation.
