Rehab appoints new chief executive on 140k salary
Rehab has today announced the appointment of its new chief executive, Mo Flynn, on a €140,000-a-year salary.
She take up the post with the charity on January 1, 2015.
Her predecessor, Angela Kerins, was paid a salary of €240,000 with a 6% payment towards her pension.
Mo Flynn is currently chief executive of Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services in Harold’s Cross and Blackrock in Dublin, a post she has held for eight years.
She previously held a range of senior management posts in health and community services in Ireland, the UK and Australia, including HSE national manager for older people.
She currently serves on the boards of CORU, the regulator for health and social care professionals; the Irish Gerontological Society, and is a council member of the International Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology.

Mr Egan also indicated that the pay level of several senior posts within the management team of Rehab will be reduced effective from January 1, 2015.
"These salaries will now be below that of the incoming Chief Executive and any bonus arrangements that existed for the senior management team have been terminated," a Rehab statement read.
"These changes have been made in cooperation with the senior management team and represent an average base salary reduction of 18.5%.
"All senior salaries in Rehab over the level of €65,000 will be published annually, in line with the SORP accounting standards.
"Pay levels for the management team are set by the remuneration committee of the board, having regard to the scope of roles and comparable levels in other charities, NGOs and non-profit organisations."
Mr Egan said: "Rehab is making significant strides in its programme of transformation and change.
"We have now appointed a new board and Chief Executive and have progressed our journey of adopting new governance standards."
