Gardaí investigating alleged rape at UCD

Gardaí are investigating an alleged sexual assault last Thursday at University College Dublin.

It is understood a student had been out with friends on the day it took place, and reported to Gardaí that the rape took place some time between 10am and 11.30pm on the Belfield campus.

A spokesman for UCD said the reports of a rape had been brought to all relevant authorities who are liaising with gardaí.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that no arrests have yet been made and the investigation is ongoing.

The Students Union yesterday reminded students about the college's Walk Safe campaign which is available during Autumn and Winter semesters.
