Murder investigation launched into Carlow body find

A murder investigation is officially underway following the discovery of a man's body in Carlow yesterday.

41-year-old Latvian man Gints Intembergs was found dead at a house in the Graigeowen estate in Tullow.

Gardaí had been working on the theory that he had been the victim of a violent attack and following the completion of a post mortem examination, they are treating his death as murder.

Another Latvian man found injured in the house yesterday morning is being treated in hospital.

Two men are being questioned at Carlow Garda station over the incident.
