Gardaí are investigating the incident involving a van which occurred between Junction 3 Swords and Junction 4 Donobate at around 12:45pm.
The driver and sole occupant of the van, a man aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene which was attended by emergency services.

The road remains closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly anyone who may have dash-cam footage, to contact Swords Garda Station on 01 666 4700 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
