Two weeks on from her murder Karen Buckley has made her final journey home.

The remains of the 24-year-old arrived in Cork from Glasgow by a special Aer Lingus flight this afternoon.

In a gesture of support, the airline is understood to have paid for the bulk of the repatriation costs for the family.

21-year-old Alexander Pacteau, is charged with the nurse's murder in Glasgow on the 12th of April and is also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
