Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a body of a 71-year-old man at a house in Co Donegal.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Letterkenny late last night.

Gardaí in Millford say they investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a 71-year-old man at a house in Garryharry after being called there late last night.

The alarm was raised when a car associated with the man was earlier found abandoned nearby at Kirkstown.

The house has been sealed off and a post-mortem will be carried out in Letterkenny General Hospital tomorrow morning.

Gardaí say the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.

Gardaí are investigating after the body of a 71-year-old man was found at a house in Co. Donegal.
