Voting is brisk as polling stations near closing time
With less than an hour until polling stations close in the two referendums and the Dáil by-election, voting turnout has been brisk.

People have until 10pm to cast their vote on whether to allow same-sex marriage, and whether to reduce the minimum age of presidential candidates from 35 to 21 years.
A Dáil by-election is also being held in the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency.
The figures so far show a strong turnout in Dublin with some areas reaching over 40% teatime.

The turnout across the country could reach over 60% by the time polls close and if that is the case, close to two million people will have cast their votes, which would be the highest turnout for any referendum in Irish history.
