The search for two missing Japanese tourists will resume this morning.

63-year-old Eiji Takagi and 61-year-old Ushio Azaki checked out of their hotel in Spanish Point in Co Clare on Saturday morning.

Their car, a red 151 Hyundai, has since been found in Kilkee - however neither have been located.

Gardaí and the Irish Coastguard will resume their efforts later.
