A mother accused of murdering her two-year-old son in south Dublin is due back in court today.

It is believed Hassan Khan was stabbed to death at his home in Ridgehall in Ballybrack last Thursday.

His mother Hazel Waters appeared in court over the weekend charged with his murder.

Her lawyer said she did not want to see a psychiatrist but the court ruled it should be considered while she is in custody.

The 46-year-old is due back in court this morning.
