Gardaí have renewed an appeal for witnesses to last Sunday's road accident in Swords.

Gardaí have renewed an appeal for witnesses to last Sunday's road accident in Swords.

The accident happened near the road works on the L3132, St. Margaret’s Road, Swords in the early hours of Sunday.

A male motorcyclist remains in a serious condition in Hospital following this collision.

Investigations to date suggest that another vehicle, which did not remain at the scene, may have been involved.

Speaking at Coolock Garda Station this morning Superintendent Gerry Donnelly said: "Gardaí wish to appeal for witnesses who may have travelled this stretch of road between 3am and 4am on Sunday Morning 10/09/17 to contact them at Swords Garda Station 01-6664700, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station."
