A motorcyclist has died after a road accident in Co Tipperary.

A motorcyclist has died after a road accident in Co Tipperary.

A car and a motor cycle collided at Cloone Cross, Templemore, Co Tipperary at around 11.55am yesterday morning.

A male motorcyclist in his 70’s was seriously injured and was taken to University Hospital in Limerick where he was pronounced dead last night.

Nobody else was injured in the collision.

The road was closed to traffic for a forensic investigation and Gardaí at Templemore investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses to contact Templemore Garda Station on 0504 32630, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
