Taoiseach compares independents to 'wobbly leg on a three-legged stool'

The Taoiseach has said he does not want independents propping up the next Government like a wobbly leg on a three-legged stool.

Enda Kenny has said the only proposition he is interested in is a re-election of the coalition.

He was addressing a rally in Tipperary last night: “Win seats for this party so we can put together a Government that is clear, that is strong, that is not sitting on a three legged stool, where one of those legs wobbles every week.

“We need to be clear about this, if we are serious about continuing in the direction we are going in and the ship of state is in much safer waters than it was in before.”
