A man in his 20's has been arrested following a shooting incident in Limerick.

A man in his 20's has been arrested following a shooting incident in Limerick.

It happened at around 7.40pm when shots were fired at a house on New Road at Thomond Gate.

Three people, including a 22 year-old woman and two male teenagers, were in the house at the time, but no one was injured.

Gardai say a motor cycle was seen leaving the area.

A man in his early 20's was arrested close to the scene.

He was taken to Mayorstone Garda station where he is being held under section 30 of the offences Against the State Act.
