Mental Health Ireland CEO asks everyone to treat mental health issues with dignity
We are being asked to treat people with mental health issues with dignity and respect.
Today marks World Mental Health day and across the globe citizens are being reminded to offer support to those in need, but also to take care of ourselves.
Mental Health Ireland says it is important dignity is commonplace across society - in workplaces - the community and at home.
CEO of Mental Health Ireland Orla Barry said: “Mental Health Ireland is asking people to reflect on dignity in mental health and what that means in their lives,” Ms Barry said.
“In really looking at the areas of life that we live, we love, we laugh, we learn in and how we are treated by others really is impactful in terms of how we feel about ourselves and the confidence we have in our lives.”
