A man has been injured in a shooting in Dublin.

A 32-year-old man has been injured in a shooting in Dublin.

Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating a shooting incident in Belcamp Grove, Priorswood, this afternoon at around 3.45pm this afternoon.

The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The man was injured when a man on a bicycle approached and shot him in the front garden of his house.

The gunman is believed to have been wearing a hooded top and have come from the direction of the Link road.

Garda have preserved the scene for a technical examination.
