Update: The body of Declan Whyte was recovered on March 15 in the Carrick-on-Shannon area.

An Garda Síochána have thanked the Defence Forces, Civil Defence and the public for their help.

Earlier: Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information on a man missing from County Leitrim.

30-year-old Declan Whyte was last seen in Carrick-on-Shannon on February 11.

He is described as being 5 foot 10 in height and has green eyes.

Gardaí are concerned for Declan's welfare and anyone with information is asked to contact them.
