Simon Harris: It seems 'perverse' for IRA to say they disciplined someone over Brian Stack murder
Health Minister Simon Harris has urged Gerry Adams, and all of his associates, to make available any information regarding the killing of prison officer Brian Stack in 1983.
Minister Harris says no one should forget that at the core of the matter is a grieving family who has lost a loved one and is still looking for answers.
He says he is not satisfied with Mr Adam's explanation in relation to the killing, or statements released at the time by the IRA.
Mr Harris said: "No, not at and all and I don’t think anybody really could. It seems to be very perverse and peculiar that an organisation seems to say that they dealt with this matter through disciplining a member.
"As though disciplining am member, whatever that means, is an adequate alternative for the laws of the land, the structures of An Garda Siochána and our courts system."
