Gardaí are investigating a road accident on the N13 at Lisfannon, Burt, Co Donegal at approximately 10.30pm last night.

Gardaí are investigating a road accident on the N13 at Lisfannon, Burt, Co Donegal at approximately 10.30pm last night.

A male motorcyclist in his 50s died after his vehicle and two cars were in collision.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Letterkenny General Hospital.

One of the drivers, a male aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital in Derry with what were described as minor injuries and the other driver was uninjured.

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
