Gardaí are investigating a number of sexual assaults in Shankill, Co Dublin, since December.

Gardaí are investigating a number of sexual assaults in Shankill, Co Dublin, since December.

Gardaí at Shankill have said the alleged sexual assaults involve a man approaching women on their own in the area between 4.30pm and 10pm, and assaulting them.

They have received a number of reports of the alleged sexual assaults on women and have set up an incident room to investigate them.

They have taken a number of statements and are investigating numerous lines of enquiry, including examining CCTV and conducting house to house enquiries.

Any witnesses or people with information are beingasked to contact Gardaí at Shankill station on 01-6665900 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
