A man has been arrested following a robbery in Dublin.

Man detained after Dublin robbery

A man has been arrested following a robbery in Dublin.

At around 5pm a man armed with a blade threatened staff at a filling station on the Kilmore Road in Artane.

He fled on foot with the proceeds of the cash register. No-one was injured.

Gardaí on patrol arrested a 31-year-old nearby and recovered a weapon and a quantity of cash.

He is being held at Coolock Garda station.
