Kelly orders PR overhaul at Irish Water

The Environment Minister Alan Kelly says he has ordered Irish Water to overhaul its Public Relations message.

Mr Kelly says the company must do more to convince the public that water charges are necessary.

He says he will order new directors, taking over next month, to clamp down on any bonus culture within the utility.

However, he has also defended issues surrounding PPS numbers and data protection and said mistakes are inevitable.
