Croke Park residents willing to consider 'new direction' in Garth Brooks row
Croke Park residents say they are now willing to facilitate the Garth Brooks gigs in two weeks' time.
In a statement this afternoon, the officers of the Croke Park Community and Handball Centre say they are willing to consider a new direction to end the row over the five Croke Park concerts.
The statement read: "In the interest of all Croke Park communities, we are prepared to consider a new direction with a view to facilitating the holding of the Garth Brooks concerts."
They have informed the Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke of their decision.
Mayor Burke has also confirmed that a planned meeting of Dublin City Council this evening to discuss the debacle has been called off.
