St James's Hospital in Dublin is urging visitors to stay away this weekend after an outbreak of the flu.

St James's Hospital in Dublin is urging visitors to stay away this weekend after an outbreak of the flu.

Management said that, in the interest of patient safety, friends and family should defer all non-essential visits. No children will be allowed in.

St James's Emergency Department will remain open, however anyone suffering flu-like symptoms are being advised to visit their GP.
