A cyclist has died after colliding with a pedestrian in the Phoenix Park in Dublin on Tuesday.

A cyclist has died after colliding with a pedestrian in the Phoenix Park in Dublin on Tuesday.

The 59-year-old was originally from Cavan but had been living in the capital.

He was rushed to Beaumont Hospital, but died last night.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, received back and leg injuries.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
