Divers are expected to resume their search for the body of Barry Davis Ryan off the West Cork coast this evening.
Bad weather has hampered attempts to recover the remains of the 21-year-old student who is believed to have drowned alongside his father last week.
The pair dove into the water off Baltimore after the young man's girlfriend was swept out to sea by a freak wave.
Mr Ryan senior was buried at the weekend, but his son has yet to be recovered.
So far more than 40 volunteer divers have joined the search and locals in Cork are being asked to supply emergency accommodation and food for helpers.
