Dublin City Council elects new Lord Mayor

Dublin city has a new Lord Mayor.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Tom Brabazon was elected at a Special Meeting of Dublin City Council tonight.

The position was left vacant following the election of Paul McAuliffe to the Dáil.

Cllr Brabazon has served as Deputy Lord Mayor since June 2019.

He represents the Donaghmede Local Electoral Area.
