People over the age of 34 are being warned that if they do not take out health insurance in the next two months they will face higher premiums in the future.
The Health Minister Leo Varadkar will today launch an information campaign outlining changes to the community rating system.
From May 1, those over 34 who buy health insurance for the first time will have to pay more.
The changes will mean an extra 2% loading for every year after the age of 34 when you sign up for health insurance for the first time.
