Shane MacGowan breaks pelvis in fall
Singer-songwriter Shane MacGowan broke his pelvis in a fall this week, and is recovering in hospital.
The 57-year-old Pogues singer's partner Victoria Mary Clarke updated fans on his progress over Twitter and facebook, saying he was "cranky, but recovering", and thanked them for their messages of support.
Just to say thanks to everyone who sent messages to #shanemacgowan he is grateful! Cranky, but recovering! Fell and broke his pelvis.

Fans have been leaving get-well messages on Clarke's facebook page.
Clarke joked on twitter that MacGowan was dancing when he fell on Wednesday. She wrote: "He broke his pelvis doing a complicated dance move!"
