Dun Laoghaire hosted a Santa Hat Mannequin Challenge today … on ice!
Santa hats were perched precariously atop the heads of unwavering skaters as they froze their pose like a mannequin for one minute.
The event was part of a special invitation by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to families and friends from Spinal Injuries Ireland to experience the ice rink at dlr LexIcon Garden at Moran Park, which is completely wheelchair accessible.
From 10am to 12am on December 10, the ice skating sessions were exclusively for Spinal Injuries Ireland (SII) to raise awareness and funds for the charity and promote accessibility in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
Members of the Irish Ice Hockey Team were on hand to help anyone in a wheelchair if required along with An Cathaoirleach Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Councillor Cormac Devlin.
Dún Laoghaire Christmas Festival on Ice presented by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council includes more exciting events right up until January 8, 2017
