Enterprise Insurance closing; 14,000 Irish customers affected

Enterprise Insurance, which has 14,000 costumers in Ireland, is being closed down.

The Gibraltar-based company announced last night that it is insolvent and is now taking steps to wind up its operations across Europe.

The Central Bank said that while it does not have regulatory control over the company, it will work with authorities in Gibraltar to ensure all Irish motor policyholders are identified and notified of the closure.

Anyone with concerns about their policy is asked to contact their broker and seek alternative cover.
