Some 120,000 Irish customers of Paddy Power have been affected by a data breach.

120,000 Irish Paddy Power customers affected by massive data breach

Some 120,000 Irish customers of Paddy Power have been affected by a data breach.

The company says customer information was accessed during a breach in 2010, which included their name, address, date of birth, email address and contact number.

Paddy Power says no financial information was accessed and accounts were not affected.

All customers are being contacted, and the Gardaí and Data Protection Commissioner have been informed.

More than 649,000 customers were affected worldwide. No cutomers who signed up for the online betting service after 2010 are affected.
