Minister hopeful after trade mission to Turkey

The Minister for Business and Employment, Ged Nash, says he is confident a trade mission to Turkey will result in new business and partnerships.

The trade mission visited Ankara and Istanbul and involved 30 Irish companies.

Bilateral trade between Turkey and Ireland currently stands at over €1.2bn and it is hoped this will expand as a result of the four-day mission.

Irish exports to Turkey last year were worth over €776m.
