Woman spent £150,000 on Diet Coke

A Diet Coke addict has spent nearly £150,000 on the fizzy drink.

Jakki Ballan started drinking the cola flavoured beverage when she was just 14 and at the height of her habit she drank up to 50 cans a day, which adds up to more than three per hour.

The 42-year-old mother-of-five still consumes up to 10 litres of Coke a day and suffers from panic attacks if she can't get her hands on a can of her favourite drink.

She is now seeking medical treatment for her problem after suffering hallucinations from the large quantities of sugar and hopes hypnotherapy will help her to get rid of her cravings.
