Gardaí are continuing to question two men in connection with a serious assault in Dublin on Monday.
The incident happened at the front of the Central Bank on Dame Street at about 5.40am when it is alleged the victim, who is in his 20s, was attacked by four young men.
He received stab wounds to the stomach and cheek, and was taken to St James' hospital.
Two men in their 20s were arrested yesterday afternoon by officers investigating the incident. They are being held at both Pearse and Kevin Street Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
