A teenage girl has died following a crash involving a car and a bus in Dublin.

A teenage girl has died following a crash involving a car and a bus in Dublin.

The 17-year-old was the front seat passenger in the car when the incident occurred on the Greenhills Road, Walkinstown at around 5pm.

She was taken to Tallaght Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old man, remains in serious condition.

The driver and a passenger from the bus were taken to St James’s Hospital with injuries described as minor.

The scene of the crash has been sealed off for a forensic examination and gardai have appealed for witnesses.
